Holiday Inn Hotel & Convention Center

I can't say enough how happy we and our families are with the service we received at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Point. We loved it. Everything was perfect. They adjusted for little mistakes we made easily. It was absolutely wonderful. The food was outstanding and we services 249 people a plated meal. No complaints!!!Thank you!

I would recommend having your reception at the Holiday Inn Convention Center Stevens Point, WI . I have nothing to complain about they were awesome!

From day one, we had problems with the Holiday Inn and our wedding cooridnator. There was so much lack of communication between departments that everytime you talk with someone you got a different answer. Our block of rooms were messed up from day one as well, we had guests calling in to book a room and they were told there wasn't a block of rooms in under that name...which was wrong! We had 30 rooms blocked. It sometimes took 3 days (and a reminder email) for the coordinator to get back to me with answers-which I had to ask muliptle times and correct her on things she previous told me. They changed the menu without letting me know-which I understand that happens, but I didn't even get a heads up. On the actual day of our wedding, we had a different wedding cooridnator who was great and very helpful! And because of her, our wedding turned out to be great-the food was great and the bartenders were friendly. But everything leading up to that day was very stressful! After our wedding I had heard other stories about people dealing with the same wedding cooridnator and they had the same problems as I did, so I know it wasn't just a one time deal.

The cost ended up being a lot more than anticipated and they were not willing to allow us to do payments or anything else. In the beginning they were not very good about calling or emailing back when I had questions.

I had requested the "Mini Bar" be opened for the reception, and that was listed on my itinerary, but it was not open. I didn't know the charges of a gallon of milk and pot of coffee would cost me $25 each. I would not have had the gift opening had I known that. Overall, working with Amber was good. There were questions she had for me the day before, that I thought was already figured out. Also, I had several unhappy hotel guests make comments about the service. Numerous rooms got screwed up. The free breakfast tickets were not honored, and I got charged for a room that was under a different name. When the party checked in, they didn't book them in the correct room, and re-booked a seperate. So the room on hold for them got charged to me. Frustrating when you spend enough money and still get all of these extra charges.

We had a beautiful wedding reception there, and picked the venue because many of our friends had their receptions there also. They were helpful before and during the reception. The food was great, and reasonably priced. We also had our gift opening the next morning and they did a nice breakfast.
