After finding an Enzoani dress that my mom would look absolutely dynamite in, we scoured every store to either find a trunk show or a discount on the dress since it was quite expensive. We were able to find it at Pearl’s Place and got it for much less than we could have gotten even at a trunk show. We save well over $100 bucks on the gown and we received right around the time they said we were. It was in absolute perfect condition. I would recommend using them in a heartbeat. In fact, I wished I used them to purchase my own gown.

Pearl's Place had the absolute best prices on the gowns I tried on - AND they include FREE alterations which is invaluable. The downside is you cannot make an appointment for alterations - you must wait in line and they do alterations on certain days only. I live an hour away so this was a HUGE pain...but my dress looked AMAZING and I paid very little for it :) If you don't like the hassle of waiting for your alterations...you could always take it somewhere else and pay for them. The staff was very very sweet to me also. I'm a happy customer.

I had a great experience with Pearls Place. My dress even came in earlier than expected. I did not have my dress altered there but they did do a great job with steaming my dress.

I would be happier with Pearl's Place if they took alteration appointments. I wasted at least 5 hours of my life sitting on Severn waiting for the shop to open so that I could be at the front of the alterations line. Seriously, you should arrive 1 1/2 - 2 hours before they open to get a good spot in line. This shop does have an excellent selection of dresses, but it is definitely a mad house. The staff often seemed flustered, as do many of the shoppers, the place is outdated and the fitting rooms are very small. Alterations are included which is nice, and luckily I didn't have any issues with my alterations. The service here is definitely lacking. I didn't feel very special buying my dress and no one ever seemed to recognize me even though I went there a lot.

LOVED my wedding dress, but HATED the place I bought it from! They have the most dresses in my area is the reason why I bought from there. Be prepared to wait, and be prepared to not be treated well. They boast that the girls that work there don't work on commisision, but maybe if they did then they would be a little nicer to the customers. Rude and totally unorganized. When you call, you have to get angry with them just to get what you need done. They don't take appointments for fittings, so be prepared to spend several hours there.

Pearl's Place did a wonderful job with my wedding dress. I arrived with an idea of what I was looking for, and my mom and I were completely floored by the dress they brought for me. We immediately bought the very first dress I tried on! The only low rating is due to inability to cancel an order once it is made. We ordered a veil and wanted to cancel the order within minutes of leaving the store, and they did not allow us to do so.

As the mother of the bride, it was very important for the day to be special for my daughter. The first person that helped us was overly opinionated. The situation was quickly resolved when I asked to speak with the owner. Immediately, a new person was assigned to help us pick out the dress and the day ended up as a very special day. I was able to find my daughters dress as well as my own. They have a great selection and are very busy. So go with a good attitude and all will turn out fine!

Pearl's Place helped me order shoes that I HAD to have, but were on backorder at every other venue (in town and online). They were able to receive them more quickly than all others AND were less expensive! Thanks!

I ordered my dress through Pearl’s Place which is a bridal shop in Louisiana. By ordering through them I was able to save almost $600 on my dress. Instead of my gown being $1,000 I only paid $400 which was a godsend. I was EXTREMELY paranoid about buying my dress from a private separate vendor, but it saved me so much money that I am so glad I decided to take the plunge. I give them a B instead of an A, because I was charged 100 for rush shipping which I felt was a bit overpriced considering that the dress was simply placed in a box and shipped. I feel that the pricing for this was a bit expensive, but since I saved so much on the dress I was willing to pay it.

I live in Baton Rouge but I went to Pearl's Place because they have a larger dress collection than any bridal store in Baton Rouge, plus, Hammond is just a little closer and cheaper than New Orleans. I found an amazing dress for $1,000. The prices aren't exorbitant but they're not David's Bridal either. The staff was ok when I was trying on dresses. More outspoken than in Baton Rouge but they made sure I was ok with everything. Waiting time is horrible. Always waiting for 30 min or more even if I have an appointment. They kept mixing up my name with other customer's accounts. When I would call them about something I would be put on hold forever. They ordered the wrong dress size and tried to tell me they'll do the best they can to get it and wanted to pay me off for my drive. The dress did come on time. But, if I had to do it all over again, I would never buy a dress outside of Baton Rouge again. Thanks for an amazing dress and horrible service.

I ordered my dress from Pearl's Place after finding it in a store in Austin. Pearl's Place was almost $1000 cheaper (WOW!), making the dress in my budget. It arrived two MONTHS early and was perfect. I absolutely love my dress and received so, so many compliments on it. HIGHLY recommended.

Pearl's Place has a lot of mixed reviews, but I had a wonderful experience picking out my wedding dress. I took off work on a Wednesday and got there around the time when they opened. I had to wait a few minutes, but not hours like some people mentioned having to do on the weekends. Once I ordered my dress, it came in earlier than the original delivery date and I was contacted right away. I also took advantage of their free alterations. The only problem I had was that I paid extra for a French Bustle which ended up breaking during my first dance. Other than that I highly recommend Pearl's Place. Just don't go there expecting a high class place....the building will fool you, but there are beautiful dresses there.

I used Pearl's Place for my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and mother-of-the-bride dress. Initially, Pearl's Place was wonderful and I found THE DRESS. I ordered it, a matching veil, and my tiara which all matched perfectly. One month before my wedding, they call me to inform me that the tiara I ordered months before had been damaged in shipment and they couldn't get a replacement in before the wedding. They told me to order another tiara for the money I paid. I decided to call back and request a refund. When I called and asked more indepth questions, the rep informed me that the tiara had been discontinued for over a year! Why did they still have the tiara in the store to try on and order if I couldn't buy it?? I also got my bridesmaid dresses from there. Half of my bridesmaids called to tell me that they had horrible customer service experiences at the shop on different occassions. The wait time was over 2 hours for a fitting, and that's when they got there at the store's opening time. My mother ordered her dress and shoes from Pearl's. They made her pay extra (a couple hundred dollars) for expedited processing because the place they were getting the dress closed down in December, but my mom still didn't get her dress until March! In March when she went to pick up her dress and shoes, they informed her that the shoes she ordered (and paid for) had been discontinued. So she got her money back also and had to find new shoes weeks before the wedding. Be careful when ordering from Pearls. Just because they have the item in the store and you order it, doesn't mean that you can actually get the item. Also, if you are going in for a fitting, dedicate the better part of the day to sitting there and waiting.

AWFUL, EXPERIENCE, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE...The bridesmaid dress chosen was a style by Jim Hjelm. After being reassured by not one but three different sales associates from Pearl's that they had the style in the store, I drove to New Orleans. I had an appointment and showed up for it but was met with what can only be described as pandemonium. After searching the store for almost three hours and enlisting the help of three different sales associates, I am told that "you thought you had the dress but you guess you do not." Thanks for nothing. I searched the entire state for retailers that carry Jim Hjelm and finally find a store in Lake Charles that has the dress. The store was unwilling to negotiate much on the price so I called Pearl's and was given a much better price. I was never once told about the "No Service Discount" or that I would have to use one credit card or the fact that any dress over a size 16 would have a $30-$50 surcharge. None of that was ever mentioned to me on the phone or through my email correspondence prior to ordering. I was sent a size chart from 2005 and guidelines for the measurements. I have all the measurements except for one but this bridesmaid is going to New Orleans so she wants to just get measured at Pearl's, order and pay for her dress. I call Pearl's to let them know this and find out that they will NOT measure her nor will they let her pay for just her dress, all of the dresses have to be on one credit card. Thank you, Pearl's, for letting me know nothing about your absolutely ridiculous ordering and measuring policies. After receiving the final measurement, I call Pearl's ready to order. I have all of the information for each bridesmaid and have given you the credit card number; this is when you decide to tell me about the $30-50 charge on dresses over size 16. I have no choice but to say okay so the dresses are ordered and my bridesmaids are slightly pissed and embarrassed. Thank you again Pearl's for lacking any resemblance of customer service. I received an email from Pearl's with my order details and shipping information. The following is an excerpt and can be described as nothing other than a complete lie. Someone is required to sign for the package, we would never ship so important an item without requiring a signature. So you must be sure and also advise your maids that this address is in our file and if a change is necessary they have to let us know. Also make sure you give us the phone number at the address we are shipping to as UPS will call you when they are about to deliver. My bridesmaid's dresses were left on doorsteps and in the rain-no signature required nor was a phone call ever made to alert them of delivery even though a phone number associated with each address was given. So thank you again Pearl's for having no clue what customer service is. You have truly made dealing with your store unbearable. I wish that was the end but sadly it is not. The three bridesmaids that were charged the $30-$50 surcharge, their dresses were three sizes too big. Which means that one of my bridesmaids should not have paid the $30 and my two other bridesmaid should have only been charged $30 rather than $50. If you had any knowledge of this brand or any idea about the sizing you should have had the decency to pass that information along to the consumer. I am letting you know the issues with the size chart so you do not continue to let down your customers. Maybe in the future Pearl's might even learn what customer service is because what I received from Pearl's was simply pathetic and has been the worst part of my wedding planning experience. I will never recommend Pearl's to anyone and will be sure to pass along this horrible ordeal to everyone. I sincerely hope Pearl's makes some necessary changes so future brides do not have this same experience. Their response to me was: "After reveiwing your order and all I do not see that we did anything wrong in this matter."

I had a great experience with Pearl's, really because of Kim who was my consultant. She was amazing and oh so patient. I spent 4 hours just to pick the first dress I tried on. She wasn't pushy and gave us time alone to talk. They were flexible with me on my alteration dates since I was an OOT bride. My alterations were perfect after the second fitting. I loved my dress.

I actually live near Sacramento, CA and hired a wedding planner who told me to shop for a dress in the local bridal stores but NOT order it from the local stores. Reason why? Ridiculously overpriced! My wedding planner instead took the designer/style/size/color information for my dress and bridesmaids dresses and ordered it from Pearl's Place over the phone. I ended up saving 43% off the cost of my dress! I received the dresses in the mail about 4-5 months later. My wedding dress was shoved into the tiniest box and was badly wrinkled whereas the bridesmaid dresses arrived on hangers, in plastic, and gently folded in half. Odd, but whatever.. had to get it pressed and altered before the wedding day anyway.

TERRIBLE service. I live 3 hours from Pearl's and my mother lives 8 hours away and we traveled in to puchase my wedding gown 7 months in advance. They called me 2 months later (when they decided to finally put the order in which should have been put in in July) to let me know they misplaced my order and I would have to drive all the way back just to get measured and that I could not just send them my measurements. DO NOT tell them your real wedding date or they may wait to order your dress.
